When we travel the highway of life often times we come to crossroads that causes us to pause and wonder which way to go. The same is true in our Spiritual life, there are so many religions all claiming their way is the right way to enter into eternal rest, after death.
Therefore, when one goes religion shopping, he or she must carefully consider what they are looking for in a religion. Some are looking for a social religion, which has a beautiful outward appearance but it has no inward change. Lots of people are on that road, looking for a religion without change; they want to hold on to their sins and their religion at the same time. The problem with that type of religion is when you die, you cannot come into the presence of a Holy God carrying a backpack loaded with sin. The Lord God who created the Heavens and the earth and all that is within them including mankind, is a Holy God, He cannot and will not dwell among sin. Therefore, to enter Heaven where God dwells everyone must be washed and cleansed of their sins. Then and then, only can we come in the presence of God.
With so many religions to choose from a person may find it difficult to make the right choice. When choosing asked yourself this question, am I looking for religion without change, meaning I can continue living in sin? Or am I looking for a relationship with God through His Son Jesus with change. God has prepared two eternal dwelling places for all mankind: one is in Heaven where He lives, and the other in hell the lake of fire with the devil and his angels. Everyone has an equal opportunity of going to Heaven if they accept God’s plan of Salvation through His Son Jesus; and everyone has that same equal opportunity of going to hell if they reject the Lord Jesus, and plan of salvation.
Remember God does not send anyone to hell, we voluntarily take that road ourselves when we reject His son and His plan of Salvation. If you are standing at the spiritual crossroads in life choose carefully which road you take, because that road will carry you into eternity. Remember life is short, death is certain, and eternity is forever. When death comes, there will be no more time for change.
***The hands of time is wound but once, and no one has the power; to tell just when the clock will stop at a late or early hour. To lose one’s wealth is sad indeed, to lose one’s health is more; but to lose one’s soul is such a loss that no one can restore.
