Hell is a Choice
Whoever said: ?You?ll go to hell if you don?t believe in Jesus?? That?s not how it works at all. No one goes to hell because of Jesus. People go to there because of their sin. The Bible said, ?All have sinned and come short of the glory of God? (Romans 3:23). The word all is inclusive it means everyone. The Bible goes on to say, ?The wages of sin is death? Romans 6:23-a). The word death means eternal separation from God. There are only two dwellings places after death, Heaven or Hell. What this means is God will be in Heaven and you will be in Hell. But the second half of that verse goes on to say, ?But, the gift of God is Eternal Life, through Christ Jesus? Romans 6:23-b). No, you are not going to hell because you don?t believe in Jesus, but you do need Jesus to go to Heaven. Please let me explain!
Let me give you an illustration as to why you need Jesus to go to Heaven: suppose you were in a hospital dying of cancer and I wanted to save your life. I willingly ask the doctors to remove the cancer cells from your body and place them in my body, and take my good cells and place them in your body, what do suppose would happen to me? You guess right I would die and you would live. The reason you would live is because I took the thing that was causing your death, placed it inside of me and I died as your substitute. Jesus came into the world and took the sins that was causing your death, place them upon himself and died in your place upon a cross. Jesus was your substitute. Through Jesus death on the cross and His resurrection from the grave, he conquered death, sin, and Satan.
? By faith, repent of your sins, repent means to be sorry enough about your sins to stop living in sins.
? Ask God to forgive you; then asked Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior and Lord.
? The Bible said, ?God is not willing that any should perish, but that they all should repent? (2-Peter 3:9-b).
Jesus explains the new birth in (John 3:3-6); it is not church membership; on judgment day there will be many who names are written on the church rolls; But not in the book of life, will be cast into the lake of fire (See Rev. 20:12-15).
