"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 118).  For the Jews require a sign, and the Greek seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling-block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God" (I Corinthians 1:22-24).

Whoever said, you’ll go to hell if you don’t believe in Jesus? That’s not exactly the way it works. No one goes to hell because of Jesus. People go to there because of their sin.  However, if a person does not believe in Jesus, there is no forgiveness of sin; and they are hell bound.

But what do you care anyway? You’re not sure God exists and you don’t believe in sin or hell; to your hell seems like some grim fairy tale. Even if there is a place called hell, you just know in your heart that it’s not for you, because you are a nice guy. After all, you’re trying to be a decent person. You’re concerned about the environment and homeless people.

You figure, if there is a hell, it’s for all the other people; but if everyone else thinks that, then you and I must be the other people. The truth is that hell isn’t such an exclusive place. You don’t have to be a genocidal maniac, mass murderer, child molester, human rights violator or a pompous demigod to go there. Hell, is made up of ordinary sinners; that’s everyone!

So, about the only thing that makes hell exclusive is that it’s the one place where a person can go to get away from God forever and have the company of those who don’t want His presence, either. If you don’t believe in hell now, just wait eventually you will.

If you don’t like the idea of going to hell, don’t get steamed at me for talking to you straight about it. Instead ask Jesus what He might do to help you switch destinations.

"As it is written, Behold I lay in Sion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed? (Romans9:33). That stumbling block the Bible is referring to is none other than our Lord Jesus. Everyone who refused to accept Him as Lord and Savior, will die in their sins, and Hell will be their home.

Remember life is short, death is certain, and eternity is forever.  It is not a matter of if you die, you will die, the only thing that is not certain is when, how and where.  In life there are many dwelling places, but in death there are only two, Heaven or Hell.  Yes, contrary to some beliefs according to the Bible there is a Heaven, and there is a Hell.  Heaven is described as a place of beauty, rest and peace, and Hell is described as a place of darkness, lake of fire and torment.  No changes can or will be made after death, if you end up in the lake of fire, that’s where you will spend eternity; and if you end up in Heaven, you will be there forever.  Forever is a long time it has no end.  So, why not accept God plan of Salvation today and avoid spending eternity in the lake of fire?

Why not pray now: Father, I know I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you.  I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward.  I am truly sorry, and now I asked your forgiveness for my past sinful lifestyle; help me to stop sinning and turn to you.  Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.?

The hands of time:

The hand of time is wound but once, and no one has the power, to tell just when that clock will stop, at a late or early hour.  To lose one’s wealth is sad indeed, but to lose one’s health is more?  But to lose one’s soul is such a lost that no one can restore.
