If You look for me at Christmas

You won’t need a special star—I’m no longer just in Bethlehem, I’m right there where you are. You may not be aware of Me among all the celebrations—You’ll have to look beyond the stores and all the decorations.

But if you take a moment from your list of things to do and listen to your heart, you’ll find I’m waiting for you...You’re the one I want to be with, you’ll the reason I came.  And you’ll find Me in the stillness as I’m whispering your name.

SATAN IS A GREAT FISHERMAN, DON'T TAKE THE BAIT
When Satan goes fishing for souls, he knows the right places to go, the right bait to use, he does not give up easily, and he has lots of patient.  He always has an assortment of bait, such as doubt, lies, procrastination, “putting off or delaying to do something”, lust “an uncontrollable desire for something that is immoral, illegal or sinful, etc.

“Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself temp anyone.  But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.  Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin: and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death (James 1:13-15).

The Bible uses the words drawn away…this is a picture of a hunter or fisherman luring their prey away from its safe habitation.  The fisherman jingles that bait before the fish making it irresistible to the fish, the fish goes for the bait and bingo, its hook. Satan does the same thing; he takes that thing that you are not supposed to do have and dangle it in front of you; until you can’t hold out any longer. When you give in to temptation, you give birth to sin; and sin has its consequences.

Look at the progression:  First there is the temptation, then lust, “that strong uncontrollable desire”, then sin followers, and it all end in death.  Spiritual death is separation from God as it was with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3:24). How Did Jesus deal with temptation, after he had fasted forty days in the wilderness?  When the devil came to Jesus, He showed His dependency on God by quoting Scripture (Luke 4:1-13).  We do well to follow Jesus, example.

Don't Take the Bait

Which one will you Choose?
The Bible says, “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” (Heb. 9:27).

In the book of Revelations chapter 20 verses 11 through 15, God gave Apostle John a glimpse of what will happen to us when we die.  John said, “I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and the books were opened.  And another book was opened, which is the book of life.  And the dead were judged according to their works.  And anyone not found written in the book of life were cast into the lake of fire.

Has anyone ever taken a Bible and explain how you can go to Heaven, if not may I?  The Bible contain both good and bad news.  The bad news is something about you, and the good news is something about God.  Let us discuss the bad news first:  The Bible said, “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).  The word sin means to miss the mark; meaning that no one has lived up to God righteous standard.

More bad news: “The Bible said, “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23-a).  there are two types of death: physical and Spiritual.  Physical death occurs when you breathe your last breath; and Spiritual death if you are cast into the Lake of fire (See Revelation 20:14-15).
Good news:  God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die and pay the penalty for sin (See John 3:16).  If you are willing to repent of your sins and received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life, you will spend eternity in Heaven with Him.
